Ann Arbor Child Neurology Mission Statement As a full service child neurology clinic, AACN is able to provide patients with expert, prompt care utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options. AACN was formed out of the need for better access to high quality compassionate care for children with neurological concerns. One of our goals is to simplify the referral process. Primary care providers will decide who needs to be seen urgently. Based on this information, initial consultations will be scheduled with one phone call. We also offer follow up appointments using an open access scheduling system. With open access, patients are seen on the day they call for an appointment, regardless of the reason for their visit. The office of AACN is located on the campus of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in the Reichert Health Center. This location allows patients access to the onsite laboratory, pharmacy and radiology services as well as convenient parking. The Cerebral Palsy Assessment and Management Clinic at AACN will provide specialized neurological and rehabilitation care with a focus on the functional potential of the individual child. This clinic will provide spasticity management as well as assessment for orthotic and equipment needs. Included in the options for spasticity management will be sedated, EMG guided, botulinum toxin therapy. The Epilepsy Clinic at AACN will provide patients with in-office routine EEG, and, when needed, outpatient ambulatory EEG evaluations. Accurately diagnosing a patient's epilepsy is the most important key to providing proper treatment. The most common diagnoses seen at AACN include:
