Francis P. Judge, MD, Emeritus


Francis P. Judge, MD attended college at the University of Pennsylvania and medical school at the University of Amsterdam. He completed a residency in Neurology at the University of Michigan. He served as Chief of Neurology at Shepherd Air Force Base before entering private practice. He served as Chief of Neurology at Wayne County General Hospital before coming to Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital. He has authored a number of publications in respected medical journals and has received numerous awards for his excellence as a Neurology educator. He has a teaching appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and has four grown children. He enjoys playing Bluegrass and Folk music on banjo and guitar.

John D. Segall, MD


John D. Segall, MD earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan, where he also completed his residency in Neurology, after returning from Colorado where he finished a residency in Internal Medicine. He has received recognition for his teaching skills from the Internal Medicine residency program at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He has a teaching appointment at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and has two grown children. He is an avid reader.

Robert J. Levy, MD


Robert J. Levy, MD earned his medical degree and then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He then undertook Neurology residency training at the University of Rochester, followed by a fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases. He has received teaching awards from the residents at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and has authored several publications in a variety of medical journals. He has a teaching appointment at the University of Michigan School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He lives with his wife near Ann Arbor and has two grown sons.

Hanna Reincke, MD


Hanna Reincke, MD earned her medical degree at the University of Heidelberg and completed her Neurology residency at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases at the University of Michigan. She has a teaching appointment at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and two children.

Anastasios Alexiou, MD


Anastasios Alexiou, MD attended college at the University of Michigan and medical school at the University of Liege in Belgium. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and then undertook his residency in Neurology at the University of Rochester. He has a teaching appointment at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He lives in Saline, and enjoys golf and opera.

Erik Sinka, DO


Erik Sinka, DO earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL. he completed a residency in Clinical Neurophysiology followed by a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, with an EMG concentration, at Rush-Presbyterian-St.. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Sinka earned his BA at the University of Michigan majoring in French. He is proficient in French and conversant in medical Spanish. He enjoys rowing and sculling and is a marathon runner.

Susan Hickenbottom, MD


Susan Hickenbottom MD, MS, completed her undergraduate and medical training at the University of Iowa. An internship in Internal medicine internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor was followed by a Neurology residency at the University of Michigan. She then completed fellowship training in Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases at the University of Texas-Houston. In 1998, Dr. Hickenbottom returned to the University of Michigan to join the faculty in the Department of Neurology and also earned a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Research Design from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She joined Ann Arbor Neurology in 2005, and continues to have appointment at an Adjunct Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Michigan. She is married and enjoys golfing and kayaking.

Jason Schwartz, NP


Jason Schwartz, NP earned his Nursing degree as well as a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan and recently completed his advanced training for certification as a Nurse Practitioner. He previously worked in the Emergency Department at the University of Michigan before joining Ann Arbor Neurology. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife, Suzy, and their two dogs. He enjoys playing soccer and golf and traveling.
