We're proud that each division in Michigan Multispecialty Physicians, P.C. is represented.
Michigan Multispecialty Physicians, P.C. (MMP) represents the integration of seven high quality specialty groups into a single organization. Over four years of work have gone into development. Several task forces are already at work to improve the quality of patient care, improve information systems, insure corporate compliance, streamline business practices, and reduce expenses. Additional specialty practices are expressing interest in joining MMP.
With the many changes that have come about in health care delivery over the last ten years, physicians have had to make changes in order to provide quality care for their patients as well as maintain their private practices. We are all familiar with the sizable reductions in health care reimbursement, the evolution of managed care, and changing relationships between physicians and hospitals. The same forces at play in the 1970s that saw independent physicians form specialty groups to provide greater service, share expenses, and provide "call" coverage, are again pushing physicians to combine their practices with others to form multispecialty groups.
MMP provides an exciting opportunity to respond creatively to the challenges before us in health care.
